Emergency or Disaster Procedures for Area 2 ACS Members
When an emergency or disaster occurs first make sure you and your family are safe and secure!
On 2 meters monitor the Area 2 Rasnow repeater (ACS channel 2) and the countywide repeater (ACS Channel 9: Repeater 145.200 minus PL 127.3).
- ACS Ch. 2 – 147.885, minus offset, PL 127.3, on Rasnow Peak (BOZO)
- ACS Ch. 12 – 146.445, simplex
- ACS Ch. 9 – 145.200, minus offset, PL 127.3, on Sulphur Mtn.
- ACS Ch. 32 – 146.850, minus offset, PL 127.3, on Grissom Peak
Updates on the emergency will be given at the top of the hour, 20 minutes after the hour and 20 minutes before the hour on the Area 2 repeater. Click here for additional emergency operation information for ACS members.

- 2 Meter Test check-in Tues 7:00-7:25 P.M. | 147.885 MHz, negative offset, PL 127.3 | Area 2-2 Meter Script
- 220 (1.25 Meter) Test check-in Tues 7:15-7:25 P.M. | 224.700 MHz, negative offset, PL 156.7 | Area 2 – 220 (1.25 Meter) Script
- 440 (70 cm) Test check-in Tues 7:05-7:15 P.M. | 449.440 MHz, negative offset, PL 131.8 | Area 2 – 440 (70cm) Script
- At 6:50-6:58 P.M. on the second-fourth Tuesdays of the month there is a simplex net on ACS Channel 12: 146.445 simplex. Area 2 Simplex Net Script
- At 7:30 P.M. there is a Ventura County ACS/ARES Net on ACS Channel 9: Repeater 145.200 minus PL 127.3.
Area 2 Conducts an Operational Readiness Test (ORT) on the first Tuesday of every month.
